Every kind I care forWhat we do
We keep your pet's normal day going — the same meals at the same times, the same walk, fresh water, litter or enclosure cleaned. If something's off, you'll hear about it.
Meals on their normal schedule, fresh water, litter tray or cage cleaned, and some time with them before we go. Meds too, if they need them.
Cats & small pets From $30 / visit Learn more 02A proper on-lead walk around the streets your dog knows, then fresh water and a clean bowl back home. We walk one household at a time — never your dog with a stranger's.
Dogs of all sizes From $25 / walk Learn more 03The pets most sitters turn down. We check heating and humidity, feed to their schedule, spot-clean the enclosure, and know what a healthy one should look like.
Specialist care From $30 / visit Learn more 04Feeding, water testing, top-ups and planted-tank upkeep — from someone who runs his own aquascapes and breeds shrimp, so he'll notice a problem before it becomes one.

Not your average sitter
"A planted tank is a living system, not an ornament. It needs someone who knows what they're looking at."
I keep and aquascape my own planted tanks and breed ornamental shrimp, and I'm comfortable with reptiles, birds and other exotics too. If your pet is the one other sitters say no to, get in touch — it's the kind of thing I actually enjoy.
About
I'm Ben. I run At Home Petcare out of Bellbowrie. I started it because most pets do better at home on their own routine than boarded somewhere strange — so I bring the care to them instead.
On top of the everyday feeds and walks, I've spent years keeping and aquascaping planted tanks, breeding ornamental shrimp, and looking after reptiles, birds and exotics — so I can take on pets a lot of sitters can't. My own two cats, Bruno and Mitten, keep me busy at home. That's Dexter with me in the photo — my German Shepherd, and the best of dogs. He's no longer with us, but looking after other people's animals the way I looked after him is the whole point of this.

How it works
Three steps and your pet's sorted. Here's how it goes.
I come to your place, meet you and your pets, go through their routine, and sort out keys and instructions. No cost, no obligation.
We agree the feeding, walking and visit times around your pet's needs and your dates, and confirm the price up front.
Head off. After every visit you'll get a photo and a note, and I'll flag anything that needs your attention.

Gathering reviews from our first familiesBefore you book
The things worth knowing before you hand over a key. If yours isn't here, call or ask at the meet & greet.
I come to your home before any booking, meet you and your pets, and go through their routine — feeds, walks, meds, quirks, where everything lives. It's free, there's no obligation to book, and it's how we both make sure it's a good fit. If you go ahead, we sort keys and access then.
It depends on your pets, how many visits you need and what each one takes — so instead of a one-size price, I’ll give you a clear quote at the free meet & greet. No lock-in, and no surprises.
Absolutely — most homes I visit have a few, and it’s often a mix: a couple of cats, a dog, maybe a tank or a lizard. One visit looks after the whole household, not just one pet.
No. I walk one household at a time — your dog goes out on their own or with their housemates, never bundled in with strangers' dogs. It's safer, less stressful for them, and means your dog gets my full attention on the lead.
That's fine — plenty of the pets I look after are on something. I give oral and topical meds — tablets, drops, spot-ons — following your vet's instructions. I don't do injections, including insulin, so if your pet needs those we'll work out the best option at the meet & greet.
If your pet seems unwell or hurt, I act on it — a quick call or message to you where there's time, and straight to your vet when there isn't. When we set up your agreement I take your vet's details and an emergency contact, and we agree what to do if something's wrong — I'd use your own vet, or an after-hours emergency vet if yours doesn't cover out-of-hours, so nobody's guessing when it matters.
After every single visit. You get a photo and a short note on how they went — what they ate, how the walk was, anything I noticed. If something's off, like a skipped meal, a limp or an empty water bowl, I'll tell you straight away rather than wait for the next update.
Brisbane's western suburbs and the Ipswich region — The Gap and Bardon through Kenmore, Bellbowrie and out to Karalee, Goodna and Springfield. Cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, small animals and fish are all welcome, including the exotics a lot of sitters won't take. Just outside the zone? Ask anyway.
I keep your own vet’s details and your instructions on file, and I’ll always contact you first. You also get a photo and note after every visit, so you’re never left wondering.
